Dr. Govind Prasad Pokhrel is a senior Dermatologist with over four decades of clinical and academic experience in Nepal and abroad. He earned his MD in Dermatology from the University of Glasgow, Scotland (1986), and a Diploma in Dermatology from the University of Wales, Cardiff (1984), after completing his MBBS from SN Medical College, Agra, India.

Dr. Pokhrel has served in several leading institutions, including as Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Dermatology at Kathmandu Medical College (2002–2020) and Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj (1987–1992). He has also contributed extensively as a consultant at Nepal International Clinic, CIWEC Clinic, and Bir Hospital.

A founding member and past president of the Society of Dermatologists, Venereologists, and Leprologists of Nepal (SODVELON), Dr. Pokhrel has published numerous research papers and continues to be actively involved in advancing dermatology care in Nepal. Fluent in Nepali, English, and Hindi, he is well recognized for his compassionate patient care, academic contributions, and leadership in dermatology.
