Dr. Lama is an experienced Ophthalmologist.
She completed her medical school at Jahurul Islam Medical College in Bajitpur, under Dhaka University, Bangladesh, MPH from Dhaka University and Masters in Surgery, Ophthalmology from Nepal Medical College, Kathmandu University, Nepal.

She has an extensive experience in teaching and served as lecturer in Department of Community Medicine at Chitwan Medical College, Bharatpur. She has also received various trainings, attended several conferences and presented papers at national and international levels.

In the past, Dr. Lama was associated with prestigious institutions like Nepal Mediciti Hospital as Consultant Ophthalmologist and Head of Department at Department of Ophthalmology. She had also worked as Consultant Ophthalmologist at Vayodha Hospital and Kantipur Hospital and Medical Director and Consultant Ophthalmologist at Dr Binod Neeta Kandel Eye Hospital, Parasi.
