Dr. Bishow K. Shrestha is an accomplished Pulmonologist, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine Physician with extensive expertise in respiratory and intensive care. He holds multiple fellowships, including FPCCM (Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine), FICM (Intensive Care Medicine), FIMV (Mechanical Ventilation), and FCCP (Fellow of American College of Chest Physicians).

With a strong academic foundation, including an MD in Internal Medicine from the National Academy of Medical Sciences and specialized training in Interventional Pulmonology, Mechanical Ventilation, and Sleep Medicine, Dr. Shrestha has been at the forefront of critical care services in Nepal. He has also received advanced training from renowned international institutions in China, India, and the USA.

Dr. Shrestha has served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine and contributed significantly to academic training, including supervising the Hybrid International Emergency Medicine (HIEM) program affiliated with the UK. He was also a member of Nepal’s Ministry of Health & Population’s COVID-19 Expert Committee, supporting national guideline development in collaboration with WHO.

His special interests include Interventional Pulmonology, Mechanical Ventilation, and Critical Care Medicine. He has published widely in national and international journals and remains actively involved in research and teaching.
